Joshua Garcia graduated from Texas Woman’s University with a master’s degree in Counseling and Development in 2024. He began his career at Santé as a residential counseling intern in 2023 and has since transitioned to the role of IOP case manager. In 2024, he obtained his LPC-Associate license, marking a significant milestone in his professional journey.
Driven by a passion for mental health and helping others, Joshua is dedicated to supporting individuals on their path to recovery. His extensive experience working in childcare has given him a unique perspective on the developmental factors that contribute to addiction. Joshua believes that many negative beliefs and behaviors influencing addictive thinking often begin in the developing mind. At Santé, he has gained a deep understanding of the complexities of mental health and addiction, emphasizing the importance of creating a supportive and empathetic environment for his clients. He strongly believes that every individual has the power to overcome addiction but often lacks the knowledge, support, and necessary resources to do so. Joshua believes that Santé is an excellent choice to begin this journey, providing comprehensive care and support for successful recovery.
Growing up in deep South Texas, Joshua enjoys traveling back home to spend time with his family on the beach with his dogs. In his free time, he loves making new recipes, going on hikes, and traveling the world to experience different cultures and cuisines. Joshua’s personal experiences and diverse interests enrich his professional approach, allowing him to connect with clients on a deeper level and provide holistic support.
