Motivated by an unwavering commitment to helping others, Mackenzie made the conscious decision to re-enter the mental health field after earning a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 2002, working several years in another profession, and raising a family. She earned her Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Amberton University, while completing an internship at Santé. She is passionate about helping couples and families navigate the impacts of addiction. She guides families in identifying patterns and dynamics that hinder growth, while helping them rebuild trust and foster healing. With an empathic approach and an emphasis on hope, Mackenzie helps families forge stronger and more fulfilling relationships by developing greater resilience, healthier coping skills, and clearer communication. She believes that support from partners and families is essential to individuals in treatment and recovery.
