Emily started at Santé in 2021 first as an Intake & Admissions Counselor and most recently served as the Assistant Director of Intake. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The University of North Texas.
Emily’s previous professional experience includes: Denton County Friends of the Family with their crisis line, emergency shelter and Survivor Advocacy Team; UNT’s Dean of Student’s Survivor Advocate (for students who had experienced domestic violence or sexual assault); Denton County Juvenile post adjudication program; and program therapist at an eating disorder treatment center.
One of Emily’s many gifts is her ability to provide calmness and stability in any environment where chaos reigns, as it does for those in and around active addiction. Her commitment to excellence is evidenced by her continuously asking, “what more can we do to stop the disease of addiction?”
When she’s not at Santé, Emily is actively honing her baking skills with all types of bread and cookies. She thrives in her music-filled household and loves spending time with their cats.
