Licensed Professional Assessments at Santé Center for Healing
Licensed Professionals (i.e. doctors, pharmacists, veterinarians, nurses, lawyers and therapists) can be required by employers or licensing boards to engage a third party Licensed Professional Assessment (LPA). Potentially for a professional in crisis, Santé’s LPA program offers a fair, precise and objective 2-day experience. The comprehensive assessments can gauge the professional’s ability to return to work, provide monitoring recommendations and/or the necessity for the professional to seek further treatment or other intervention. This information is provided in a formal written report to the referral partner within a timeframe agreed upon with the respective organization.
Why Might a Licensed Professional Need a Licensed Professional Assessment?
The unique challenges that licensed professionals face can lead to a higher risk for substance use disorders, behavioral addictions or disruptive behaviors.
What is Involved with Santé’s Licensed Professional Assessments?
Santé Center for Healing’s LPAs are facilitated by a multidisciplinary team involving addiction certified psychiatrists, licensed mental health therapists, nurses, and other medical staff.

- Additional testing, if necessary, including polygraphs
- Preliminary results are given the day after discharge
- Drug testing with chain-of-custody provisions
- Clinical assessment and interviews
