The Joint Commission is an organization that evaluates and collaborates with health care facilities in an effort to continuously improve health care for the public. Through setting rigorous standards, The Joint Commission aims to inspire and help organizations excel in providing safe and effective care of the highest quality and value for the public. To receive accreditation, Santé was assessed on more than 250 standards spanning several areas including emergency management, environment of care, leadership, medication management, and rights and responsibilities of the individual.¹
