For those I haven’t met yet,
I’m CRAIG VANCE,
RN, PMH-BC – ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF NURSING,
and I wanted to connect.
A little bit about me: I started at Santé in 2011. I began my career in the US Army as a combat medic in 1990, then as a nurse in 1993. I worked in various areas of nursing throughout the years, but found my niche and biggest impact in the psychiatric and addiction field. This motivated my pursuit in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing Certification. I enjoy what I get to do, and when I’m not at Santé I’m at a sporting event or family event with my family, adult children and grandkids.
A little bit about why I’m excited to be at Santé: I am excited to have built a career around saving lives. At Santé, because of the expertise and compassion of our great team, we get to make a positive impact on our clients on a daily basis.
A few things to note about my professional philosophy that aligns with Santé:
- Treat clients with compassion and understanding, recognizing addiction can affect anyone.
- Focus on supporting clients in their recovery journey, providing resources and encouragement throughout their treatment here and even as alumni.
- I wholeheartedly believe “people don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care.”
