ROBIN WATTS, LPC, CSAT
Robin Watts, M.S., a National Certified Counselor is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Sex Addiction Therapist. She has over 25 years of experience providing education and training to children and their families in a variety of settings. She maintains a private practice in Denton, Texas, where she offers individual and family psychotherapy, coparenting consultation, expert witness testimony, and family reunification interventions.
Robin has a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Oklahoma State University, a Master of Science degree in Counseling & Development from Texas Woman’s University, and now pursues a Ph.D. in Family Studies with a research focus on addressing the complex issues and diverse needs of separating and divorcing families. Robin is a trained Reunification Therapist, a Parenting Facilitator, and Coordinator, and is a certified provider for the New Ways for Families® curriculum.
Robin is the 2019-20 President of Collaborative Divorce Denton County and serves on the Board of Trustees for Collaborative Divorce Texas. She maintains membership in the International Association of Collaborative Professionals and in the International Institute for Trauma and Addiction Professionals. Robin is an active member of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts and the Texas Association of Specialty Courts and is a founding member and Vice President of the Texas Association of Family Forensics, where she works with other professionals to learn through inquiry, discussion, and debate on ways to provide support, training, and resources to other specialists across practices.
Robin serves her community as a Court-Appointed Special Advocate and is both a founding and clinical member of the Denton County Drug Court Treatment Team.
Robin lectures and trains statewide on topics related to best practices for those providing treatment to individuals and families involved in legal disputes. She believes in a system that empowers children and their families to resolve conflict and make informed decisions about their future. Robin advocates for a process where professionals work collaboratively through education, support, and access to services to achieve the best possible outcomes for children and their families.
