I look forward to meeting you!
“The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.'” I remember reading these words in one of the books recommended to us during my graduate studies. And since that time, with almost every client I have journeyed alongside, I find this to be true. This can be a difficult concept for many of us. Self-loathing abounds in our culture and it can feel like the natural option when faced with parts of ourselves we aren’t proud of. But there is a beautiful freedom in accepting ourselves. As a Christian, I believe in the innate goodness of every human person I meet along this journey called life. And as a therapist, I believe that each of my clients has the capacity for change, beyond whatever condition they may find themselves in the present. And so we can look forward with hope.
I strive to create a warm, safe environment for my clients to explore the blocks that stand in the way of this freedom and create change in their own lives.
