Personal

Megan has been counseling since 2016 after following the Lord’s direction to enter the counseling profession during her Sophomore year of college. As Megan continued to follow the Lord’s leading, she gained experience working with survivors of trauma and violence. Megan has had extensive experience in the foster care system, working with children and adolescents who have been placed in foster homes, as well as with adult domestic violence survivors and victims of crime. Her vast experience, working with all ages and genders, makes Megan an understanding and compassionate counselor to all as they work towards their healing journey

Megan was born and raised in a small town south of Houston, and moved to the Dallas area in 2012 to begin her college career at Dallas Baptist University. It was there Megan received her calling to become a counselor, and where she built a strong network of friends and colleagues. Megan graduated with her Masters Degree in the Spring of 2017, and soon after met her husband on a blind date. Megan and her husband have been happily married since June of 2018. They are active members at their local non-denominational church. Working among students in youth ministries has been a great opportunity to combine Megan’s love of God and people over the years. Megan desires to meet people where they are, and respects all religions and faith backgrounds. In her free time, Megan enjoys cooking, traveling, bargain shopping with friends, and playing board games with her husband and friends.

Megan is trained in Trust Based Relational Intervention (TBRI), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Existential Therapy, and Marriage and Family Therapies.
