Lynn Helwig, M.A., LPC-MHSP
Lynn is a Licensed Professional Counselor with Mental Health Service Provider Certification in Tennessee. She received her MA degree in Counseling Psychology and her BS in Business with a concentration in Marketing and a minor in Psychology from the College of Saint Elizabeth in Convent Station New Jersey.
Lynn has worked as a counselor with non-profit agencies over the past 8 years and approaches therapy from a Christian/Christ centered worldview. She has 5 years of experience working primarily with adult women 17 years and up who have specifically experienced domestic violence and trauma or have struggled with such issues as self-esteem, shame, self-worth, depression, anxiety, mood disorders, anger, PTSD, grief and other various life stressors and mental health. Lynn also enjoys working with couples who are dating, engaged, married or considering marriage and uses the techniques of both Gottman and Emotionally Focused Therapy to help couples to work through various issues such as communication skills, anger, trust issues, or life changes/transitions. Lynn’s passion is to help others to heal and become whole and to live an abundant and joyful life.
Insurance Accepted: Blue Cross Blue Shield, Blue Care (Tenncare), ComPsych EAP, and Cigna, United Healthcare, Optum.
Non-Insurance Fee Scale: Lynn offers a sliding scale fee option based on household income that ranges from $60 to $100 per session. There is an initial intake session fee of $15.
