Karl Reigle, M.A., LPC, LCDC LPC therapist
Specializing in substance abuse, but also with experience in mental health, personality disorders, mood disorders, trauma, family/marriage counseling and play therapy
Karl is married with two grown children, one of whom continues to live at home and attend college, while the other is now working as a pilot for American Airlines. His wife is currently employed as a Minister to Preschool children at Travis Avenue Baptist Church in Fort Worth, where they also attend and serve. His personal interests include playing tennis, listening to Christian music, reading and keeping up with local and national news.
Karl has been a therapist of various types over his career. He started off as a chemical dependency counselor, working with clients overcoming substance abuse issues and behavior issues in various locations, such as residential facilities and jail diversion programs. Later, he added the Licensed Professional Counselor accreditation and began working with clients overcoming mental health issues, such as Bi-polar disorder and Schizophrenia. He has also worked with children affected by domestic violence and families affected by child custody issues.
All of these experiences have helped him develop a high degree of empathy for clients struggling with psychological or emotional issues that seem to be beyond their control, especially when their personal support system seems to be insufficient to meet their needs.
He helps clients become more aware of the impact of their own thoughts and feelings, as well as the impact of the other influences in their lives, such as from family members, childhood experiences or societal interaction. He also has helped those affected by trauma, anxiety, depression and other mental health issues.
