Jody Jones, Director Operations, LPC, CCRT-SLA
Jody holds a Masters Degree in Counseling from Dallas Baptist University and is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Texas. Prior to counseling, Jody’s story includes many years in the corporate world so he has a unique understanding of the demands of the business world and societal expectations on men and women.
As a Certified Connection and Recovery Therapist, (CCRT-SLA) with a focus in Sex and Love Addiction, Jody works with spouses and their partners to understand addiction and help them find the road to recovery and a renewed relationship. He is trained in EMDR techniques for use in trauma, PTSD and other areas of disturbance. Jody is a certified Prepare/Enrich Premarital counselor and has been an ordained minister since 2007.
Jody sees counseling as part of a holistic process, working with the physical, mental and spiritual aspects of a person’s life to find the whole person. He enjoys working with couples, men, and youth as they navigate the difficulties of life and seek to better understand themselves and the world around them. He has a special desire, as it states in Isaiah 61:2, “to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and to provide release from darkness for the prisoners”. Life doesn’t have to hold us captive!
Married to his wife Alicia (a Special Ed teacher) they have two adult children and have been married since 1994. An avid reader and life time learner, he enjoys topics such as the neurochemistry of the mind, addiction, nutrition, and anything that helps him connect with and understand what’s going on with a client.
