Emily Judge, LPCC

Emily is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with Positive Change Counseling Center. Emily  enjoys working with children, teens, adults and families. She received her Master’s Degree in Community Counseling from Eastern Michigan University and holds professional clinical licenses in both California (LPCC) and Colorado (LPC). Emily draws upon a range of therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Feminist Theory (aims to understand the nature of gender inequality and acknowledges systems of oppression) Mindfulness and Motivational Interviewing. Emily has experience in treating a variety of mental health concerns including adjustment disorders, anxiety, depression, trauma, family disruption, oppositional behaviors and stress related concerns.

Emily maintains that a major healing aspect of counseling comes from a collaborative effort between counselor and client. The client and counselor are a therapeutic team working together to heal what is hurting. Emily believes that real life demands real counselors. She strives to create a judgement free space where you can feel comfortable to be vulnerable and open. Emily has worked in a variety of mental health settings including intensive services, outpatient community clinics and school based programs and has provided counseling in English and Spanish. Emily offers adapted mental health treatment for people with developmental and intellectual disabilities. (Please let her know of any sensory concerns so potential accommodations can be made.)
