Elizabeth Bobo LPC
Background and Experience
Elizabeth has experience working with individuals of all ages from young children to adults faced with multiple challenges and transitions. She works with individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, PTSD, addiction, abuse, trauma, ADHD, grief, anger, and faith related issues. Liz has had the opportunity to gain experience in her field through working in a vast array of settings including addiction recovery rehabs, psychiatric hospitals, non-profit agencies, private practices, anti-trafficking organizations, schools, and outpatient clinics. She uses an eclectic counseling style to provide client-centered care tailored to meet the unique needs and goals of each person. Liz also supports people with developing positive coping skills to better handle life challenges. She offers life coaching and faith-based Christian counseling upon request.
Personal Statement
I spent ten years mentoring young executives and artists in Houston and New York City who desired personal growth. During that time, I observed how trauma impacted the lives of these young men and women. I was motivated to enter the counseling field by my passion to see them overcome barriers and find more contentment, inner peace, and hope in their daily life. I have come to realize that recovery is a process and is best approached from a holistic perspective since health encompasses the whole person. As a Licensed Professional Counselor it brings me joy to see a greater sense of well-being and positive changes in the lives of those I have been privileged to come alongside over the years. I have also personally experienced the benefits of counseling having dealt with past fear, trauma, and loss in my own family. My desire is to provide a safe, encouraging space for you to share as we navigate through the journey to recovery together.
