Detailed Information

Dana C. Avey, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist

All individuals possess power to change, and my role is to assist you in tapping into your own resources and strengths to achieve the outcomes you desire  for personal growth and healing toward FULFILLMENT.

Everyone finds themselves in a place of struggle at some point. Sometimes these ruts are brief; others may linger longer. Having the objective feedback, guidance, and support of a professional in a safe and confidential setting can be incredibly helpful during these challenging times, and I am here to offer precisely that. You deserve all the universe has to offer you!

A true believer in the mind-body connection, I value and utilize an integrated and holistic approach to empower individuals to take charge of their wellness, promote their greatest and highest selves, and access an authentic and meaningful existence that leads to fulfillment.

Located in Colorado Springs, Colorado, Fulfillment Counseling & Life Coaching PLLC offers in-person and online counseling for adult individuals and families in Colorado. Therapy is also delivered virtually to adults located in Florida, Georgia and New Mexico. Specializations include: thought disorders (schizoaffective, schizophrenia), mood disorders (depression, bipolar), anxiety, personality disorders (borderline), and general life transitions and struggles – serving both the individual with the lived experience of the aforementioned challenges, as well as families and/or supports of diagnosed individuals.

Walk+Talk therapy is available, which allows for movement and being outdoors during sessions. AcuDetox is also offered, which is a 5-point auricular acupuncture protocol established by the National Association of Detoxification Acupuncture (NADA) that addresses many aspects of wellness, such as anxiety, depression, sleep disturbance, PTSD, nicotine dependence and sobriety. In addition, light therapy can be added to in-person sessions, when clinically indicated for depression with a demonstrated seasonal pattern (also referred to as seasonal affective disorder). Other supportive treatment options offered include Yoga Nidra, Restorative Yoga, Guided Group Meditations, and Vision Board Workshops.
