I believe in the power of story, so that’s why I use a Narrative Therapy approach. I can help you identify those climactic events, those turning points, those supporting characters – things in life that brought you to this point. And since I haven’t invented a time machine yet, and you can’t go back and change anything, I can help you redefine what has happened, so that you can move forward and heal. With training in trauma, I understand the stain that the past can leave on a person’s mindset, and we will work together in healing the part of you that seems stuck. I’m also a big fan of Positive Psychology, because I believe that you are so much more than what’s going wrong. That’s why I like to focus on “what’s strong” to keep that balance and help you build your strengths so you can regain your grip and live your best life story. As a Registered Play Therapist, I’ve learned the value of play for us all, and I can help you find that playful part of yourself that can be very healing.
