Allison Collins LPC Intern Supervised by Mindi Malcom, LPC-S

Allison graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in psychology degree. After her time in College Station, she moved to Dallas to attend Dallas Baptist University earning a Master of Arts in counseling degree. Allison has worked in special education for 11 years with middle school and high school-aged students. Her time in education focused on developing plans with students and their families to find success in the classroom, at home, and in the community.

Allison has been a counselor in the school, hospital, and non-profit setting which has given her a lot of experience in the world of mental health. She has worked closely with families of special needs, domestic violence, individuals/families in crisis, and clients struggling with anxiety, depression, addiction, trauma, grief, or unhealthy relationships. She uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to promote healthy thinking patterns. Allison is welcoming, encouraging, and a facilitator for her client’s personal growth journeys.
