Allison Barton, MFT
Allison Turley is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who is excited to offer a supportive therapy environment to clients in need. Allison has experience treating individuals, adolescents, and families struggling with depressive disorders, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, adjustment disorders, emotional regulation issues, relationships, and life stressors. Her experience prior to Positive Change Counseling Center is working with teens and their families in a non-profit, residential setting to develop coping skills, overcome crisis situations, manage transitional phases of life, and improve family dynamics. Allison works to guide clients in a non-judgmental, nurturing space of support and practical feedback to help clients gain insight and awareness.
Allison earned her Bachelors degree in Psychology and Communications at the University of California, Santa Barbara in 2012. In 2016, Allison obtained her Masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the California School of Professional Psychology (Alliant International University). Allison is trained in a variety of theoretical models including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness Skills, Bowen Family Therapy, Structural Family Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy.
