Akisha Simon, LPC
Background and Experience
Akisha is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) experienced helping people navigate the difficulties of life. Akisha works primarily with adults. Akisha’s compassionate approach with clients employs evidence-based practices emphasizing Cognitive Behavior Therapy. She has over fifteen year of experience working with a wide range of clients and issues such as survivors of trauma, childhood abuse recovery, depression, postpartum depression, anxiety, domestic violence, women’s issues, PTSD, life transitions and self-esteem issues.
Personal Statement
We all experiences seasons in our life when we feel overwhelmed, lonely, broken, or scared. I believe you have what it takes to live the life you desire, but no one’s journey is solitary. We all need help. My goal is to come along side you and help you achieve your version of a purposeful, fulfilling life.
Education and Training
Akisha received a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from the University of Louisiana at Monroe and a Master’s degree in Counseling and Guidance from Louisiana Tech University. Akisha is a Licensed Bachelor Social Worker in addition to an LPC.
